On Sunday we resumed our regular schedule at the Ashram, with the Thousand Names of Vishnu at 10AM, and Spiritual Interaction at 12:00 noon. We are listening again to the Farewell Talk by Swami Sri Atmananda, which contains much vital information for the future. We will continue with this next Sunday.
Resumption of other programs will include WPM on Wednesday at the ashram, and on Thursday at Devashish’s house in Reno at 6:30.
Additionally, there is a new interview on the interview tab.
This is the Silver City Satyachetana outdoor shower, located on the north side of the property. It comes equipped with a towel rack, soap, shampoo, a working sink and even hot water. Don’t fear if every shower is taken in the morning, just use this installed shower.
Interestingly, behind the tarp is a mine against the back mountain wall of the property, an enterable one. It has been explored but by the ashram but has been sealed off now.
By Swami Sri Atmananda
“Silence is the voice of God. If you have seen a person who enjoys silence be sure he has understood what is God.”
“God has no headquarters; that is why he dwells in every heart.”
“God has nothing to do with religion, as water has nothing to do with the vessel that carries it.”
“One can exist without religion but not without God.”
This book is sitting on a table in one of the rooms of the ashram, “Journal for a Spiritual Warrior – Guidance for a Striving Seeker.” It’s a book written by Swami Sri Atmananda, the master at the ashram. Some of the topics it discusses are sleep, duties, and measuring one’s success in spirituality via a criteria.
I was put in charge of documenting who attended and who missed the designated ashram programs. Every person, including Bhagavan, is expected to be at every program, unless they have work that takes it’s place. If someone misses a program, they will be charged 5$. There are 6 programs at the moment.
Every day at lunch, a meal is prepared fresh here. It is only healthy and nutritious food. Dinner is usually leftovers, and breakfast is not prepared for everybody. Everyone eats together for lunch, it is nice.
We are preparing for the return of the master and the members of this ashram by cleaning and tidying up. Kevin is cleaning the steps leading up to the Surrender house. They will be returning around 10 pm tonight.
The ashram grounds are built into a mountain. Some parts of the mountain are steep or weak and rocks and dirt fall down into the grounds, hitting the buildings. Swami Pooja has built a rock wall which she’s modeled off the one’s she’s seen in India to hold the mountain back from it’s inevitable degradation.
